Making magic with Disney Fairy Tale Weddings
On Monday, Mark and I (plus my ‘rents) had the pleasure of attending the Disney Weddings Showcase at the Grand Californian Hotel.
It was essentially a Disney Weddings open house, featuring some of the ceremony and reception venues at the Grand, all done up to the nines with floral, decor, food and drink. And we’re talkin’ the GOOD stuff — Mickey macarons! A multi-flavor churro bar! Enough flowers to keep a hive of bees happy for weeks!
They had Disney Weddings planners and preferred vendors on site to chat with guests and show off their services. Everyone’s favorite mouse duo may have made an appearance too. 😉

After walking through one of the ceremony options near the pool, we made our way to the Brisa Courtyard. This area is directly across from the Grand Californian’s entrance to Downtown Disney, ever-so-slightly tucked away under the Monorail tracks.

They had it dressed up like a real wedding reception and it was goooorgeous. Major #goals.

Nestled behind the main Brisa Courtyard is another area that serves as a potential ceremony venue for Disney Weddings couples.

Talk. About. Over. The Top. Floral.
(In the very best way, of course.)

Moving inside the Grand, they had the ballrooms set up with vendor booths…

…and everyone’s favorite twosome!

They also had the most delicious his + hers macaron station. I gravitated towards the chai tea flavor, and of coooourse Mark went for salted caramel.

But I think the clear winner was the churro bar.

I tried the “lemon fruity cereal sugar” and it literally tasted like Fruity Pebbles. NOW THAT IS SOME DISNEY MAGIC.

Big thanks to Disney Weddings for supplying all the pixie dust for the evening. And big shoutout to our planners, Nicole and Keli, for taking the time to meet up during such a jam-packed night.
Nicole flew in all the way from Oahu with a gift bag full of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, Aulani stationary, and Hawaii-exclusive Minnie ears, which should give you an indication of just how amazing she is. I’ve had such a great time planning our Aulani wedding with her!
Fingers crossed the Disneyland reception planning experience is just as magical.
