Saying yes to the dress(es)
This weekend, I was lucky enough to play princess and try on wedding dresses at BHLDN.
It was actually my second time popping by to take advantage of their in-store appointments. If you’re a bride-to-be and there’s a BHLDN store near you, I highly recommend it! All you have to do is reserve a time online, and you’ll get a free hour with a stylist to try on dresses to your heart’s content.
My first visit was back in March, when I found The One. This time, I was on the hunt for something a little more moveable for the dancin’ hours of the reception.

BHLDN is the wedding arm of Anthropologie, and their boutique in Beverly Hills is actually on top of an Anthro store.

Anyone can wander in and try on occasion/bridesmaids dresses, but you’ll need that handy dandy appointment to try on the wedding gowns.

I had my heart set on a very specific dress going into this appointment, so I only ended up trying on a few gowns before deciding on The [Second] One.
(This isn’t the one I chose, but isn’t it puuuuurdy nonetheless?)

This dress (and the next couple following) were ones that I tried on during my first visit to BHLDN, 6 months ago.
You’ll notice the crazy clips holding everything together…that’s probably the one downside of BHLDN’s try on appointments. The sample sizes in store are 12-16, so it’s really hard to get an accurate feel for how something is going to fit.

But the stylists take your measurements and match you to the appropriate size in whatever gown you end up going home with.
Which brings up another tidbit worth noting: there’s ZERO pressure to purchase a dress at the appointment. I walked out of my first BHLDN try on session empty handed — totally torn between 3 gowns. And you know what, they were 100% cool with that. There’s no sales-y commission pressure, and no awkward pushiness.

And even if you end up with a dress that isn’t quite right, BHLDN has free 30-day returns on all purchases — even the gowns!

But no return labels needed here. I know for a fact that I found another keeper, and I can’t wait to wear my dress(es) come December.
Cannot believe that we are less than three months out?! Somebody pinch me (and tell me to get a move on with those last minute wedding to do’s!)
xo,
K
