I’ll never tire of this Budapest view.
After oggling and oggling, we made the 10 minute walk from Buda Castle to the Fisherman’s Bastion – a neo-Gothic terrace perched on the hill, with even more fabulous views – and the Matthias Church.

Here’s the Matthias Church…

…and there’s the Fisherman’s Bastion.

It had been in the high 30s all day, and at this point I was frozen. So, we took refuge in a cafe right off the Bastion for some cappuccinos. Partly for caffeine but mostly cause they had the most epic of indoor space heaters.

Plus another one of those views.

After coffee we decided to make the trek down the hill, across the Chain Bridge, over the Danube, back to the hotel.

And there she be, home for another night.
