Goodbye 2017

And a big h-e-l-l-o to 2018! Per usual, we spent the last couple days of twenty seventeen at the Happiest Place on Earth — which, if you didn’t know, becomes the Most Crowded Place on Earth during the Holidays.

We’re not really the kind of folks who enjoy stroller-to-stroller hordes and exorbitant wait times, so you may ask yourself what we do during our annual NYE Staycation at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Let me sum it up for ya: we sleep in, order Mickey waffles, eat all the things, drink (can’t say no to the Grand’s rum hot chocolate!), buy ridiculous merch (see below: Star Wars popcorn bucket), and eat some more. If you can sense the theme, it’s definitely “be as relaxed and lazy as possible in the hotel.”

This year we lucked out with an amazing “Premium Theme Park View” room, so we were even able to watch the NYE fireworks in our PJs, without having to brave the midnight California chill (or the crowds). Win!
