The main eatery at the Belmond El Encanto in Santa Barbara is called The Dining Room (so original). Since our getaway was a last minute decision, the earliest we were able to get reservations for dinner was 8:30. Being the granny status eaters that we are, we decided to stop in earlier at the lounge for a drink and some snacks to tide us over.
How pretty is this place? Swoon.
The Dining Room is on veranda of the main building, which houses the hotel lobby, bar/lounge, and spa.
They had a Frank Sinatra clone serenading the place with live music, which was a cutesy touch.
We grabbed a table off the bar…
…and got our drink on. Chardonnay for me, girlie rosé for him.
A hummus, baba ganoush, and bulgar wheat mix held us over until dinner.
And the views were just a cherry on top.
