The Little Mermaid
I’ve been meaning to bike out and see this iconic statue since I arrived in Copenhagen, way back in August. But classes got in the way, and then so did the weather, so it got pushed to the way back of my to-do list.
Well, we’ve finally had a few sunny days and I’ve definitely taken advantage by getting out of the apartment, onto my bike, and into explorer mode.

So. The statue.
Everyone warned me that she’s teensy, and not at all worthy of being the tourist draw that it is.
But I thought she was charming, in a demure and entirely unassuming kind of way. Which perfectly fits with the Danish way of life.

These are all the photos I got of her, though, cause that sun was a LIE. It was so. damn. cold.
First, my fingers couldn’t take it. And then my iPhone couldn’t either. It does this awesome thing where it’ll go from 50% to 1% in about 3 minutes when exposed to anything below 35 degrees. Real cool.
But c’est la vie. I came, I saw, I snapped, I went home. I’d put the day in the “Success” column, for sure.

I’ll just have to come back in the summertime for her close-up model shots.
xoxo
