Dutch adventures continue

After a full day of museum’ing, we took a taxi back to our hotel and did the whole ah-it’s-good-to-sit relaxation thing.

Well, my travel companions did, anyway. While Grandma and Ben wound down and had drinks at the bar, I wandered the canals right outside…

Soon it was dinnertime. Our destination was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel, and took us right by the Royal Palace in Dam Square.

The Lobby

I found The Lobby on Yelp, and it had great reviews. (Obviously. I mean, how many people say they found a restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try cause of all crap reviews?)

But I digress. The ambiance was ace, and the food was just the kind of cozy comfort we were craving.

Bread – always a winner.

tartare!

I started with the steak tartare, something I can pretty much never turn down if it’s on the menu.

punkin!

For my main I had this incredible stuffed baby pumpkin.

Filled with goat cheese and bulgar.

And a massive creme brûlée for dessert.

I almost bought myself a pair of these on the way back to the hotel. ALMOST.
