A week ago, I put on the princess garb and attended Mickey’s Halloween Party.

This was our 7th (or 8th?) year doing it, so it’s become an October tradition. We’ve rocked a ton of Disney themes — Lilo and Stitch, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Pocahontas, and Peter Pan. This year, we took it back to basics. Snow White and the Seven (well, six) Dwarfs.

We started the evening in California Adventure, sipping Poison Appletinis at Carthay Circle Restaurant.

After sunset, we made our way over to the real shindig inside Disneyland. Mickey’s Halloween Party is a special ticketed event, where you can dress up, trick-or-treat for candy, and watch a seasonal Halloween parade and fireworks show. My favorite part, per usual, is the people-watching. So many creative costumes! Lots of princesses, Mary Poppins, Marvel characters, and even one Backside of Water from the Jungle Cruise.

We left with bags full of fun size Snickers, Starburst, and Milk Duds — aka, a night well spent.
