Sunset in Santa Monica

I don’t think there’s a more quintessential Southern California beach town than Santa Monica. It’s a beautiful place, but I feel like I fall in line with most native Angelenos when I say it’s not my favorite. It’s a tourist mecca, so the crowds are always insane, and the traffic in and out exists on an almost mythical level — even by LA standards. I only live 15 miles away, but it can easily take two hours to get there. And the parking situation, my god.

But! That said, watching the sunset from the cliffs above the Pacific Coast Highway? Kind of the best thing.
