Rooftop bar - newspaper

Dublin, day two

First off: May the 4th be with you! This post has nothing to do with Star Wars (sadface) but it does have ice cream. Silver lining?

Rooftop bar

Our hotel in Dublin – The Marker – had a swanky rooftop bar, so we started the evening up in the clouds, taking in the views of the city.

They serve food and drink up here, but we’d already made reservations down the road.

So, we just snapped a few pictures, took in the ambiance, and then got on our way.

Walking to dinner

The Sussex

For our second night in Dublin, we ate at The Sussex, a classy + chic restaurant serving up traditional Irish eats. The restaurant was about a mile from our hotel. The weather was nice, so we decided to walk. I’m glad we did, cause it gave us a nice view of all the quaint bitty houses lining the water.

And here she is. The Sussex.

Dinner - O'Bryans

The restaurant is on top of a pub – M O’Brien’s – hence the misleading welcome.

Dinner - Appetizers

We shared a “superfood” salad and fried goat cheese to start…

Dinner - Mains

…then dug into this deliciousness for our mains. Ribeye for him (as always), and braised lamb shepherd’s pie for me. SO GOOD.

Dinner - Dessert

Plus a few thousand more calories to close out the evening. Definitely a good time!

xx,

K
