The Hofburg Imperial Palace in the center of Vienna is just as grand as you might expect.

The location is unreal, too. It’s located in the center of Vienna, along the Ringstrasse – a circular road surrounding the inner city. Everywhere you look, there’s something fabulous to oggle at.

The museum quarter is right across the way…

…with yet another Christmas market.

Parliament is just down the street.

And what do we have here? NBD, just another Christmas Market.

(Yeah, those are giant light-up violins dangling from the tree branches. Mozart would’ve been proud.)

This particular Christmas Market is in front of the Rathaus (aka Town Hall and seat of the mayor) and is probably the most epic of them all.

And here we have the Burgtheater, directly across from the Rathaus Christmas Market action and home to the Austrian National Theater.

After a full afternoon of (freezing cold) wandering, we came back to the Hotel Sacher Wien for a pick-me-up in the Blue Bar.

Which is… very aptly named.
