Dinner table

Last week I had the opportunity to attend a traditional Danish “Mortens Aften” dinner in Valby.

My friend, Nadja, sold it as the “closest thing we have to a Thanksgiving” in Copenhagen, and I was there in a second.

We feasted on two kinds of duck roast, mashed potatoes, kale salad, coleslaw, and red wine. Plus caramel chocolates and coffee for dessert. There may have been no turkey or stuffing, but all the warm and cozy “hygge” vibes made it feel just like home.
