FLOWERS

Bits & pieces, vol. V

Copenhageners will tell you that there’s “no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.” Well, lemme just say that no amount of “good” clothing makes biking in the rain suck any less. Until they start selling bubble boy outfits that keep your glasses from needing mini windshield wipers (or, better yet, invent mini windshield wipers!) my “good clothing” will be the shelter of the bus.

Especially since rain is on the forecast for the foreseeable future.

Hygge

The rain and cold and 4pm sunsets also mean “Hygge” is happening in full-force.

Sunset

(^ One of those aforementioned 4pm sunsets.)

Sunset

(^ And another.)

Lights

And since we’re now in November (!!!) I’ve broken out the CHRISTMAS LIGHTS.

ALL THE HOLLY JOLLY VIBES ~

FLOWERS

You know what else is holly jolly? Mark surprising me with this GORGEOUS bouquet the day after I got back Copenhagen, following my Amsterdam travel nightmare. ❤

Excuse me while I spam the hell out of it…

FLOWERS

Aaaaand…

FLOWERS

Done.

Ornaments

Speaking of Amsterdam, I got these hand painted ornaments from the Christmas Palace shop along the Singel canal. (Mom – I’ll bring them home with me and we can put ’em on the tree!)

Smorrebrod

I tried making my own Danish Smørrebrød the other day – salmon and avocado on top of GF bread. Noms. I am not the best cook (at all) but open-faced sandwich assemblage? I can do that.

Eggs 'n Hokkaido

I can also fry eggs and roast squash. (Turning the oven to 400 degrees is on the shortlist of my kitchen-based abilities).

Coffee collective

Last but not least… the wifi was out at our place the other night (complete travesty) so I had to actually read a BOOK. I started 11/22/63, and now I can’t put it down. SO GOOD. It’s even better with a caffe latte on the side.

xoxo
