Way back in June, Mark and I made the 6-ish hour drive from Los Angeles to Napa Valley for a weekend of photo-taking, wine-tasting, and general flower field frollick-ing. I never got around to posting my Napa travel diary back then, cause as soon as we got home I was elbow deep in master’s thesis revisions, and then right after that I started a new job.
It’s been heartbreaking to hear about the devastation coming out of Northern California in the last week. With all the terrible wildfires currently ravaging Napa and Sonoma counties, I figure it’s time to dust off my wine country memories and reminisce about happier days in the region.
The main purpose of our trip was another photo commission for B Cellars Winery, but we made sure to balance out the work with play.
Please excuse the excess of cheesy and clearly staged I’m-holding-a-glass-of-wine-in-a-vineyard photos in this post. I much prefer being behind the lens than in front of it (hello, I’m an anxious + awkward human), but at the same time it was kinda fun to play Frogger in the middle of the wine trail.
When the world’s got you down, stick your chin up and twirl like no one’s watching.
