Enjoying the joys of sunshine-y Scandinavia…
So, yeah, my title is misleading. This wasn’t exactly just another weekend in Copenhagen. The first couple days after Ireland were filled with general monotony and routine school stuff.
But then, I had a very special visitor who made my weekend extra fun.
He’d been in Ireland for a business trip (boring) so I’d gone to meet him for the weekend before his meetings started (not boring). Then, after they were over, he spent the next week in Copenhagen with me before heading back home to Los Angeles.
We stayed at the D’Angleterre (again), aka the hotel with the softest pillows and most ridiculously amazing room service.

After the comfiest of sleeps, we started things off with coffee and snacks at Joe and the Juice, a Copenhagen coffee chain.

Flat white for him, avocado chocolate smoothie for me.

And an avo sammie to share.

Then we hopped a bus to the Bispebjerg cemetery in Nordvest, so he could see the cherry blossoms.

They had definitely lost a lot of their luster since the last time I saw them, but on the upside the place was absolutely deserted.

We took the bus back to Torvehallerne after getting our cherry blossom fix. I wanted something warm to drink. Plus, I had to get an obligatory shot of the tulips.

Then we did some city wanderings.

Which included a nice little walk around the lakes before dinner.
