Moher

So, I’m back in LA again.

It’s my birthday month, and I’m home to enjoy family (happy belated 19th, Kasey!!), friends, my fat Frenchies, and the SoCal sunshine before it’s back to Copenhagen in June for exams…

But first, still so much of pretty Ireland to catch up on! I left off halfway through our 10 hour tour, right after lunch at Doolin. Next up: arguably the highlight of the whole trip, the Cliffs of Moher!

After lunch at Doolin, our bus drove us up over the hills, with some stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The best views were still to come, though.

Aka, now entering the sketch “you could totally fall to your death” zone.

And knowing me, I totally would. #doitforthegram

Our guide told us that the weather was the greatest he’d seen in months, with almost perfect visibility. The clouds kept passing by, so sometimes the cliffs looked grey and moody, and other times bright blue and magnificent.

The cliffs are on the very edge of western Ireland, and if you squint real hard I’m pretty sure you can see the Statue of Liberty. 😉

It was an amazing experience – one I won’t soon forget. It’s always a treat to explore a new country, city, and culture. But there’s just something extra special about getting to witness the marvels of mother nature all on their own.

xoxo
