Gimme a chai latte and some macarons and I’m a happy camper.
Make the backdrop a Swedish cafe in the hipster Stockholm neighborhood of Södermalm and I’m an even happier camper. And I don’t even like camping.
After being wowed at the Fotografiska museum, the girls and I decided to wander the streets of Södermalm to kill time before dinner.

We stopped in this cute cafe looking for some fika-appropriate sweets, but it turned out to be an Italian place and we were very much in the mood for something more…Swedish.

And then we found this place, where a couple of old ladies were knitting in the corner. ❤

And I got my beloved macarons.

The sun was just setting as we took the metro back to our AirBnB.

We freshened up, then headed right back out to dinner at Nybrogatan 38 in the upscale, trendy Östermalm neighborhood.

The cuties, Mareike and Phoebe. I didn’t think to get a photo of Kelley and I. Oopsie.

Authentic Swedish meatballs, with the most buttery and delicious mashed potatoes.

And osso bucco with risotto. Om to the nom.

We ended up closing out the place, after spending nearly 3 hours chit chatting over food and wine.
The eats were phenomenal, as was the ambiance. It was the perfect little ribbon topper to a quintessentially Swedish girls’ trip.
