Stockholm adventures continued…
Ah, twilight. The very best time of day.
I left off just as the girls and I were wrapping up our Gamla stan wanderings.

(Can we take a moment and appreciate how modest this storefront is? Probably the best souvenir shop in town, but they’re not 100% sure. How’s that for honesty?)

At this point it was dinnertime! So we hopped the metro back to our AirBnB.

But first a quick stop for groceries.

Fun fact: Sweden sells all of their wine/beer/liquor in special alcohol-only stores. Which means you can’t buy alcohol ANYWHERE else besides these stores. Not at grocery stores, convenience stores… nowhere but the specialty alcohol shops. And now you know!

Anyway. Being frugal graduate students, we picked up cheap ingredients (or, as cheap as we could find in one of the most expensive cities ever) to make pesto pasta.

With a side of zucchini ratatouille, cause we fancy.

Ta-dah! Oh, so delicious.

After sufficiently stuffing ourselves with carbs, we ended the night with girl talk (read: gossip gossip gossip) and chocolate.
And then I konked out and had 10+ glorious hours of sleep. Take that, jetlag.
